That house is quite new, you'd think it would still be in it's guarantee. That mould is awful!!:eek:saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.

We had to look twice at this.....

What do you reckon - someone realised they had an extra few foot on their title deeds?
I lived in a house as a student where the front of the house was just a door width wide and a window wide on 1st floor and at the back had double patio doors downstairs. You went straight into the kitchen which had a straight wall on the left and then widened on the right and then through to the living room which did the same. Stairs went up from the kitchen to a bedroom the similar shape to kitchen at the front a bathroom in the middle as the wall got wider and then two very uneven sized bedrooms at the back.
The site had been a garage at the end of a Victorian terrace and th'd built 2 2 beds and then this oddly shaped 3 beds onto the end in the 1980s. Because of the back alley which went round the side of the property the plot was wide enough at the back but not the front.
It was a bit of a nightmare working out where to put the furniture but otherwise ok.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

wow, what a contrast. I'm guessing it's a developer that's gone under?
Interesting to have a shower in the kitchen. I know that the building regs regarding loos & # of doors off rooms have been relaxed, but surely a shower directly IN the kitchen can't be right?!"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510 -

actually, I'm not so sure about it being an aborted development now. There's a seat in the shower - the type that you get with assisted living aids. A conundrum"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510 -
That mouldy one makes me want to claw my skin off in horror, and that's just looking at it! How on earth is anyone expected to be in the same room as that stuff? That did not just appear one day out of nowhere!Emergency savings: 4600

My guess is an elderly/disabled person, confined to downstairs and hasn't been upstairs for years (description states that dlapidation is to the bedrooms). Hence downstairs in ok condition and has walk in shower, outside has not been touched for years, neither have the bedrooms.

I honestly think thats the best thing i have ever seen in someones house, if i saw that walking round i'd hand over the cheque there and then.
p.s. that is in the skirting boards isnt it!?!
When I first saw that I just thought it was a dolls house. Never realised it was behind the skirting board. That's so cool!0 -
Apart from the tiny windows, this looks like a quite reasonable house initially.... then you read that "certain areas" need work ( but no pics, a bit suspect but fair enough) ... but the dimensions of the living room are so odd !! ( But is the same width in metres and feet so obviously not a mistake). If you sat on the sofa your feet would nearly touch the wall opposite!
