You can't go wrong with bricks & mortar, as long as you bury it
Who has bought it & why?
Is it for a novelty holiday let?
BTL?
Bunker for a frightened banker?
???
Beautiful spot in the Teign valley, secluded place to stay, I'm not surprised it sold. Better than camping esp in winter. Good spot for a telescope? (not sure about the trees interfering). Satanic rituals? OK, I made the last one up.They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

I love the way the ebay ad says 'collection in person' under the 'postage' heading!0 -

Anyone got any ideas, as I keep on looking and trying to work out if I've got the wrong perspective!

Looks like a tall house next to low offices or housing. Google Maps identifies the low building as Rowan House, home to Cranbrook Management Consulting, yet that company has no website?0 -

Why do you think it's a joke? Check sold prices for the road. http://www.nethouseprices.com/index.php?con=sold_prices_street_detail&street=WALL+STREET&locality=LEE+OVER+SANDS&town=CLACTON-ON-SEA&cCode=EW&year=All&house_style=All&house_age=All&search_radius=&outcode=CO16&incode=8EU
It's probably 50% more than it ought to be, but it's certainly not a joke. It looks like a lovely spot for a holiday home.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
It's probably 50% more than it ought to be ..
That is the joke.
Most recent ebay listings in the UK where the seller has been brave enough to let it run from a low start, (& there are not many who do that), have resulted in the top bid being about a third of their BIN price.
That of course is absolutely no reflection whatsoever on the true state of the UK's pwoperty 'market' post credit binge.0 -

Now that's what I call a modern extension (pic 1), from an unprepossessing frontage (pic 12)
