Nice home, a little dated, that's ok I can put my own stamp on it, what grabs me about this property is the stunning view...

    :D

Simply delightful. Not sure if it's better or worse than the view of Hinckley point I have from my bedroom window

I feel quite sorry for these vendors.

How much off the asking price (which is pretty much top dollar for a 2 bed house in this location) would you want to be semi-ed with this?

It's like 'Day of the Triffids':D

That wasn't what I was referring to - my children have also always slept in the same room - but rather the loud colours and patterns. Fengh Shui it ain't ;) But the main reason that that pic stood out to me was that it was in the middle of all those long, narrow, rectangular features - it's almost like they bought that rug just to break things up a bit.

When the second series of Big Brother came out I liked the bedroom. I painted the kids room with 2 shades of bright orange Benetton paint, and had the bedcovers and curtains to match. When the sun shone in through the curtains in the morning you'd have thought the room was on fire. :o

I wouldn't be happy. That would take work keeping it from encroaching your own house.

You'd want your EA to crop that front photo, wouldn't you?

I wonder who lives next door - might be an old person who needs some help? If not, I'd be tempted to "accidently" spill a bit of weedkiller at the front there on a regular basis...

Thankfully it more than lives up to expectations ;-) Pretty hopeful on asking price, I would say it is overvalued by 500k but perhaps it includes the butler on page 8!

Isn't the 'butler' Humphrey Bogart? Makes a change from Laurel & Hardy or the Blues Brothers!

DH's former boss had a similar house with similar taste, lol, despite having millions to spend he filled his place with enormous china clown figurines that would freak most people out.......I hate clowns btw :D
