How could anyone live like that?
BTW the internal mint green door has been outside for at least 6.5 years (based on streetview) and will be of no use
No one lived like that? Presumably they installed a makeshift kitchen and bathroom last week so it's technically mortgageable?0 -

Odd name for the road. Would be curious as to its why this name for a road. Hopefully that buying on this road doesn't turn out to be the street name either
We used to live round the corner from there. I tried to find out the history of the name but never could.Officially in a clique of idiots0 -
Maybe it’s unlucky relation to a road in South east London called Chancelot...0

Perhaps this: http://yorkcivictrust.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Osbaldwick-CYC-Walk-1.pdf
Bad Bargain Lane was formerly known as Osbaldwick Back Lane. It was named after a small holding at the corner of Piker Thorn Lane in the nearby parish of Holtby. This was regarded as a ‘bad bargain’ by a disgruntled owner as the enclosure allotment contained two thirds of an acre of swampy pond.

I have. That's the sort of thing that happens...and worse! We had about 4 different kitchens, the worst being a formerly integrated oven propped-up on bricks + a bottled gas ring in a leaky, old conservatory.
However, in our case, the money, enthusiasm, relationship, or whatever didn't run off in mid-renovation. Not the sort of thing I'd want with a day-job though, so I'm not knocking the owner of that one for trying.0 -
Yet another way to say 'not decorated for 30 years'.
