What an ugly, dismal house. I like retro but that one's just depressing.
Reminds me a little bit of this one. But at least this one is brighter! http://www.raeburns.co.uk/property/PDFFiles/8670.pdf
Isn't this where that Bond Villian's Mum lives ?
I like the bathroom- they put in a shower and false wall for the waste and extractor, keep plastering and oops didn't see the window, no one will notice will they?Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.
Actively hunting down the person who invented the imaginary tenure, "share freehold"; if you can show me one I will produce my daughter's unicorn0 -
I suspect that it's either a probate (or residential care) sale. Timelines seem to fit: hip young groovy things move in & decorate in the 70s, live there for 40 years and move "on"....

Indeed, it is quite bitter-sweet isn't it?
I also noted that there are mainly only 2 of everything - bar stools, garden loungers on patio, garden chairs at table. Given the still relatively good state of the decor, it makes me wonder if they were an elderly couple without children. Makes me sad for my own future too in a way"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510 -

My Grandparents have lived in a really old (1650's) cottage since they married and they have stairs like that. Its coming down that is the worse!Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0 -
I used to think the ones in our cottage were bad until I saw those ones. (You have to duck). They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
