Check the floor plan- there is a small porch. The white frame is for the wooden internal door, not the white front door.

The owners seem to have some sort of stripe fetish, the lounge would feel like being in a huge tube of Aquafresh.
As for the kitchen.....
wow even the outside walls have strips.0 -

I was looking for a nice rural house with a big garden.
Saw this on rightmove got quite excited as I think its nice.

If you look at picture 20 you can see some scaffold from next door. So I thought I'd check on the local planning site to see what was being built next door. I found the plans and this classic objection letter from the owner of the house that is for sale.
http://publicaccess.bassetlaw.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=N8T596CS00J00
The owner describes their own house which they are trying to sell for £365k as feeling like a prison, if the planning is approved, which is has been and looks like is being built from the pictures.
Needless to say, I've not booked a viewing.
Moral of the story is don't go overboard in your objection letters.
Its not the first time that public access to planning has proved useful. I viewed a house that had a nice single storey extension at the back, I checked the planning website and saw that they had had planning rejected to build on top of it. Yet when viewing the owner said that we could always build on top if we needed more bedrooms. Her face when I said that planning had been refused was a picture.0 -

That's a shame. Looks like a lovely house.
I love it when people don't expect you to have done your research. Some people don't even realise stuff like that is in the public domain!
