Love the grotto in this garden (pic 15) - we have several similar old brick arches in our new garden - albeit they're a bit narrower - and I've always wanted a grotto I'm so going to pinch that idea

I really like the panelling - just think the old fashioned '80s/'90s furnishings make it look *grannyish*
Sacrilege maybe, but it could always be painted it to lighten the look.....there was a lovely Arts & Crafts house (we love A&C) on the South Coast with amazing panelling throughout the ground floor. It sold before we got a chance to view, but went back up for sale a couple of years later and all the amazing oak panelling had been painted off-white which created a brighter, modern feel but ruined the character imho.....
