Anyway, what is wrong with a bare bulb in the bathroom? My bathroom has a bare bulb.0

Is your flat up for sale at a million pounds? If so, can you not afford a tenner on a shade from B&Q?

Ah I thought you were going to say it was a health and safety fire electrocution risk or something. Reason why I don't have a shade on it is it just ends up moldy and dirty so I don't bother.
And that B&Q shade isn't the nicest.0 -
I thought they should be sunken lights, inside the circle, and have been removed and a wire & normal bulb put there, so they shouldn't be dangling or need a shade.
It does look like an observation / interrogation area!:j0 -

I am forced to take issue over this!
From vast experience I can tell you that a Porta-Potti wont fit in that cupboard.
Jeez! We lived in a [STRIKE]motorhome[/STRIKE], panel van with a caravan interior nailed into it, for six years & it had more space than that £170/wk shoebox.
In fact, three months of shoe box rent equals the cost of it.... & it had swivelling front seats; & a sofa: & a permanent double bed: & a shower ..... I think I want to hit the road again0 -
Former BBC newsreader Martyn Lewis is selling up- http://search.savills.com/property-detail/gbsshsslh130066 - for £5.5M!0

And "shuddering" because of a bare bulb? Really? I wouldn't be surprised if the previous occupant has been there since new. You probably can't get replacement bulbs for the 1970 fittings (at least at a reasonable price) so they have modified and adapted - And just because you live in a property now valued at £1M it doesn't mean you have access to lots of cash to spend on these things. I don't think anyone looking to buy it would be influenced by a £10 light shade, when they'd be looking to do a complete refurb.
If you think £1M is a lot for this place - look at the next door neighbours: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/new-homes-for-sale/property-41904220.html
Lots of info about the place here: http://www.125parkroad.org including lots of contemporary floor plans, history and old photos.
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0
