It is all the worst design features of the 1980s preserved in aspic and it depresses the hell out of me!

It's not for everyone and needs some work, but I'd love to live in a cottage. Look at that AGA!
I have an Aga. It's great for cooking, apart from when the wind is blowing hard and the oven temps drop.
It's also difficult to clean during the 6 months of the year that it's on, as the top is always hot. Self-cleaning oven's nice though.
It has severe limitations as a water heating device, and as a space heater the lack of regulation is annoying. We often have to open the windows and door to let the heat escape, even in February. This can be galling when the running cost is £35 - £40 a week!
Then there's finding a place for the other cooker, for using when the Aga isn't on......
It's going!0 -

Estate agents do that all the time round here. Half a dozen lousy photos and a close up of the novelty lid on the bog.0 -

London suburbs = don't have to try too hard.
As for the furniture, Asian tastes are different from European, so it's merely a value judgement on what 'hideous' might be.
We can both agree that we'd not choose it ourselves.0 -

And the clear balustrade which doesn't fit properly under the stairs would annoy me. (Hasten to add I live in an old cottage where nothing is straight or fits, but in that modern house, it's supposed to). They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

What a great site :T. Love the first house. Second stunning but too dark for me - needs a lot of white paint.
Great to see even the most famous architect in the country can forget something as mundane as a letterbox (pic 28) :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
