Chance would have been a fine thing to have the EA that sold me my current house making out it was worse than it was....rather than me dropping in on them, after the event, to tell them JUST how much I am having to do on this house that (according to them) didn't need much.
I couldn't resist the chance to see their embarrassed faces when I called them on that.
Duly saw them go a bit "whiter shade of pale" when I popped in to tell it like it is about the place:rotfl:. Well...it made me feel just a little bit better for telling them what a load of blimmin' liers I could see they had been:T0 -
Can anyone explain to me why some people deliberately wreck a house that is being repossessed from them please?
In what sometimes seemed my never ending quest for a place to buy I saw at least three different scenarios for damaged repos.
1. Smashed up through vengeance.
2. Sad family with multiple problems, depressed single mother, one physically disabled child, and one mentally disturbed. The second child had banged and battered the walls, the plaster was probably blown, result huge holes revealing laths beneath.
3. Edwardian house gutted for architectural salvage.
And I did find myself amazed at the different defintions EAs had for what needed to be done to a house. In need of full refurb sometimes just meant 'dated with swirly brown carpets' and was thus interchangeable with 'a house on which you could put your own mark' but at othertimes meant 'this house is a total wreck'.0 -

Love the:
"N.B Goes via Whalsay on request.". Reckon I'll try that on next Sleazyjet flight - "can you drop me off at Luton instead of Gatwick please" :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
