Look carefully; spot the vendor (pic 6)

Forget the vendor, would you live next door to someone who wraps their car in a tartan rug? :eek:0 -

Eww. They've got some nice bits in there, but their taste is strange. The glass walled loo in the bedroom, the wallpaper (?) that looks like corrugated iron, the crucified Jesus holding shopping bags above the bed, the American Indian head-dress decorating another bed.... the list goes on.0 -
I think the crucifixion is probably a Banksy (or Banksy-alike) I wouldn't want it in my bedroom but it's not bad..
I don't like the decor, or the clutter, but that glass walled bathroom in the master bedroom would really put me off. If you're determined to add an en suite why would you not at least use frosted glass?
There doesn't seem to be a single consistent style, does there? All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
OMG! I know that house! Great Ayton is a regular day trip spot, and that green outside the front of the house is teeming with day trippers pinicking on a sunny day, screaming kids, the lot.
Having said that, I have always like the house and assumed it would have the same character inside as out, but instead its horrendous - there would not be one single bit I wouldn't want to redecorate. Also, if you look carefully, the glass walls on that en-suite only enclose the shower, not the toilet!! Anyone for a bit of aromatherapy to send you off to sleep:o:D

I agree - they have some interesting stuff, which as a collector myself I can appreciate, but it's waaaay too eclectic even for me......at least it's not the usual magnolia box though!Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

The only room i would not decorate if I won the lottery and decided to up sticks c250 miles, is the loo with the white walls.
I wonder how much more it would be if it was decorated to the style of the house? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
