Perhaps the nearest road being 1/4 mile away is a more of a problem than simply having a cold bum first thing in the morning?

Its a rental! the outgoing tenants have got no incentive to tidy up or move their kids for the benefit of their landlord.

Scary to think you can manage to make a 4-bedroom house that messy and hoard-intensive on a short-term rental.
Plus how many TVs do you need in a bedroom (pic 9)?
