At one point I was up 8% now I am getting close to 2% since I changed to an Aegon Group Pension Plan.0

No drop is comfortable but remember that if your portfolio is balanced then you shouldnt be seeing the headline drops that are being reported as not everything is going down like that. Only high risk investors will be seeing big drops currently and if they are investing at the higher risk end then they know these things can happen and if they don't then what are they doing investing at that end of the scale.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Shareholders gained when prices were up and they didn't complain then! Do they not know that share prices can go UP or DOWN?0

Yup. My portfolio is weathering it rather well. My UK FTSE income shares are taking a mild battering, but as I was musing on this, I spotted a rather tasty dividend payment from Vodafone hit today.
I've just been running my dividend yield analysis spreadsheet over my watch list, and also looking for top-up opportunities on existing shares. There are loads of well-covered returns between 4% and 6%, and a few even higher.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

I am in predominantly AIM oillies / mining stock, I have seen on average a 25% drop in my portfolio over 2 days.
I understand the risks and this is not bothering me, of course I don't want to see a loss, but when these shares are to pay off my mortgage in 10+ years it isn't too much of a concern.
I have actually been able to average down on a few of my holding, so every cloud as they say..0 -

Every silver lining has a cloud?Living for tomorrow might mean that you survive the day after.
It is always different this time. The only thing that is the same is the outcome.
Portfolios are like personalities - one that is balanced is usually preferable.

Yes, and as Lloyds shareholders say, "In for a pound, out for a penny." :-)I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Well, quite, and the big fat Vodafone dividend that dropped in today reminded me of why yields are important.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
