I remember a certain MSEer always being a huge fan of YOY figures.
When it suited them.
Can't remember who though.0 -
Halifax and Nationwide should be negative for now on. Land Registry may be unfortunately up next month.

However the trend will be down and property investors will be burnt.
I wonder what would happen to mortgage rates when the focus turns to the UK.

Hi Brit,
Time to change your signature again......

Sorry had missed out Nationwide.
I wonder if Hamish is starting to believe that House prices are going to crash? Are his palms now starting to get sweaty? Are the residents of Aberdeen starting to become disillusioned?
"I'm really worried about our house sale. Hamish said prices would continuously rise here in Aberdeen. It's been 2 months and no viewers. I think we may have to drop the price, the economic news is getting worse."

I have no confidence in this index. I suspect the average person will treat this data with disdain. DYOR is my advice.
No, the average person will just hear houses up and feel great about it.
We didn't and would not allow a crash. Do you believe me now?
I bet some of the disenchanted renters will be finding this news difficult to swallow.
There is not going to be a crash. I think thats obvious. :rotfl:We love Sarah O Grady0 -
Actually you did then note that they were all positive.
Which they were not.
0% falls into the positive pot.....did you not know?
It's like "48% static, 3% rising" falls into the "51% are stactic or rising, which is more than those falling" pot.
When of course the falling 49% is the larger percentage.0 -

Bullish fiddling when rome burns.
Looks like pay back for the bailouts has arrived.
Already we've had Hamish telling us how house prices are "near peak" when they are in fact where they were near the bottom of the 90's crash.0
