Ryanair Hand Luggage?

Anyone flown with these lately? Flying to Spain in two months and taking one case between us as only going for a few days.
How much hand luggage can we take each? It says on the site we can take ten KG
each but is there a size restriction?

Ie will a normal sports gym bag get on as hand luggage or does it have to be smaller? Thanks

10kg, 55cm X 40 cm x 20cm. I flew with Ryanair last week. You can bring quiet a lot in hand luggage if you use your allowance, a small/medium sized suitcase would count as hand luggage

hi we went rynnair and took only hand luggage, as we were only going for 4 days, 10kg, and i think the bag size was h50cm x w44cm x d20cm
lots of people had normal size a4 rucksacks, also lots had small wheelie bags, its surprising how much 10kg is. we had no problem fitting everything in, just be careful on way out they pay no attention to bag size, but on way back they were more vigilant, with the size of the bag

    Hi

We flew with Ryan Air in January having flown with Jet2 in August and Easy Jet in December and Ryan Air were by far the strictest with regards to hand luggage. They made every single person (apart from women with a small handbag) put their hand baggage into those little metal stands to check they were within the dimensions. If they woudln't fit they were taking people to one side and charging them to store it as a checked bag.

So it's well worth making sure it's the correct dimensions.

There are many threads already covering this subject.

I must confess my wife and I are now fully trained Ryanair travellers with our good conduct badges firmly on our chests.

We recently spent two weeks in the South of France and took only hand luggage. I even had a change of top for every day!!

Read Ryanair instructions carefully, abide by them to the letter, and it's easy peasy.

However, many travellers think that because they are the customer they should call the tune. This doesn't work in Michael O'Leary's world. He just wants you to get on, sit down, buy his 'extras', then get off.

    Not everyone's cup of tea.

Strictly one item of cabin baggage per passenger (excluding infants) weighing up to 10kg with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm is permitted. (handbag, briefcase, laptop, shop purchases, camera etc.) must be carried in your 1 permitted piece of cabin baggage
Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right

have flown Ryanair many, many times both with and without luggage

I never take a trolley case for hand luggage, always take a Holdall

I have seen airport staff both in this country (various airports) and abroad walk along the boarding queue checking the sizes of trolley cases

but have never seen or herd of holdall's (even though they can be much bigger) being checked, I certainly have never been checked

I've seen EVERY bag checked for a flight, many times.
