Firefox very slow loading up in the mornings

This problem has been bugging me ever since I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox. It literally takes close to 6-8 minutes for Firefox to load up in the mornings after I turn my computer on and doubleclick the Firefox icon. Does anyone else have this? There is also that annoying screen message asking if you want to restore your last read pages or open a new screen. Should I just try deleting the current programme and uploading afresh? Also, does anyone else get that similarly annoying security certificate message popping up each time before it will allow you to view a webpage. Can I disable this?

Have you got many addons installed as this will slow the loading of firefox? As to the security warning usually it has a little box to tick to not have it again.0
