Didn't Stephb34 say that Flexi Trip was internet based? If this is the case then all this talk of poor advice etc is irrelevant.

Personally we have always used a high street travel agent and we've never had a bad holiday or had cause to question the advice given, maybe we're just lucky but we have had nothing but exceptional service. I think the big problem is when people go in to a TA and book something without getting a few quotes for different resorts/hotels then doing some internet research, there's plenty of information out there in the form of reviews (taken with pinch of salt) resort websites and forums.

Hi, hols are booked on this website directly by the customer or over the telephone, but it is also used by Thomas Cook to do bookings in their high street shops so i read it as the ops parents went into TC and booked it with a TA in person, what i mean't when i said its internet based is there are no brochures or literature printed to read and the only pictures and info available is via a web page that the TA would pull up for the parents to look at, i don't think it would mention building work at this point so the TA wouldn't know about it to inform said parents.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, does rather change things.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world
