I am on exactly the same product as you (Save Oline 3) which ends 1 November 2011. Save Online 9 is there to choose as the last option but what is the drawback of the E.ON Fixed Price October 2013? I'm also offered Age UK Fixed Price Octoner 2013 which says prices are fixed as at 13 Sep 11 but gives the prices as lower than the E.ON Fixed Price October 2013.
I've only just started looking at this and am confused!! Any advice?
EDIT : I just rang E.On and it seems that although Save Online 9 is cheaper that this moment but after the imminent price rise it won't be. I have switched to the Age UK Fixed Price October 2013 (even though I am not a pensioner) as this was working out based on current usage at £42 per year over my current bill as opposed to £69 on E.ON Fixed Price October 2013. No cancellation fee was applied and none will be to come off this tariff. I asked what it meant on the Age UK one when it said that prices were fixed as at 13 Sept 2011 and she said the prices were fixed at what she told me today i.e.
Electricity
Normal units up to 900 kWhs per year 22.638 pence
Normal units 14.7105 pence per kWh
Gas
Normal units up to 2680 kWhs per year 8.41575 pence
Normal units 3.81885 pence per kWh
If anyone thinks I have been misled please let me know!! :-)
I got the Age UK fixed price as an option so I think I will follow suit (only nearly 52).Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0 -

I am currently on Save Online 3 and there is no clarity about what will happen at the end of the contract which falls after the price increase date.
SaveOnline v3 reverts to EnergyOnline tarrif on 1st November 2011 as per section 18 of the T&Cs 'What happens at the end of the SaveOnline plan'. These prices are listed in the switching service on the website, and for me in SWEB region would be 34% higher for gas and 41% electricity (compared to current prices). I'm ditching and switching for EDF Fixed S@ver v2.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -
Well, it's only summer, so the increase won't hurt yet.
Come on, FixOnline 10, give me a good Christmas.
Please come out on 1st November 2011, coinciding with my quarterly bill.
Please be fixed till 1st May 2013, so I will be covered for two winters.
Please be low again like FixOnline 8.
Amen.
P.S. Would it help if I sacrificed a goat?

Hi Mrs Arcanum,
You will go on to the standard EnergyOnline tariff when yours comes to end unless you chose another tariff.
This is the standard online tariff, with no cancellation fees etc, so you are free to change tariff/supplier as you wish.
