Item undelivered by Royal Mail

I purchased an item (Thankfully) of my credit card. After a lot of delays they eventually shipped the order, however Royal Mail delivered the item to a different address.

The item was sent recorded delivery so signature was received however it was signed for by soemone unknown to at my address, plus i was away for the weekend when royal Mail claim they delivered it.

I spoke to my supplier and they've refused to refund the monies saying it was delivered, however it was not deliverred to me. I've provided details proving i was not in the county on the day it was delivered the supplier is saying i have to wait whilst they resolve there case with Royal Mail.

I can see my supplier issue, but i wouldve thought a company as large as they are would've not left me out of pocket for this long.

I've offered to assist RM and BB with any investigations they require. Can i reclaim the monies through my credit card? Should they refund the items under the distance selling regulations?

Can anyone please advise

Regards

Kwiz

Was the address correct on the order and RM delivered to wrong address ?

Or was the address wrong at point of order ?

Was your address occupied at the time ?

Not true - Under DSR (Assuming it is not an exempt item) you can claim a full refund for goods not delivered at anytime. Their investigation with RM is not your problem.

    Yes and yes

If over £100 and paid on a Credit Card then you have S75 protection
Under £100 or on a Visa Debit Card then you can try a "Chargeback".

The address was correct on the order i filled in, Beaverbrooks claim they delivered to that address however there was noone in the property on the day RM claim it was delivered. Furthermore no card was pushed through my door telling me it was delivered elsewhere

My house was lived in, however for that particular weekend nobody was there (I live on my own and i was away for the weekend)

Thanks for the advise buy Beaverbrooks are still refusing to refund on the grounds they had the items delivered somewhere.

They claim the DSR does not cover me because they did deliver to somewhere.

They are talking utter nonsense op. Contact your CC company and they will reimburse you for non-delivery, eventually.
