Trouble applying for a cc online

So today i applied for a post office cc online i got to the very end page where they said they were doing a check and would let me know their decision then the page timed out. It said http error 500 please refresh page when I tried to refresh it wouldnt let me then when i pressed back button it wouldnt let me. Does this mean they never completed a credit search, i dont want to apply again as it might affect my report.
