    Thank you Billy, if there is one thing I would recommend is that you get everything in writing! for example, we were also told that the service charge would be payable monthly but actually they expect the whole year upfront when you first move in. This additional expense isn't convenient when you need all your money for the deposit. Basically, what I have learnt is that don't trust anything they say, they are more concerned with their commission then providing a good honest service to the buyer.

    Hi!

    We ended up complaining to the regulator of new build developers. We got a small amount of compensation and the developer has also altered their website to make clear that there are properties which have been previously rented out for sale rather than saying they are all 'brand new'. To be honest, we are happy with our home and got our point across :-)
