No, what we need is forum mods who are active.

To paraphase Lily(not andrew) we need mods who are (attr)active.
Mind you we could not live without apples vs pears / tablets vs suppositaries, threads. The only real thing we do not need is :spam: or !!!!!!!!!!s who want the code for such and such radio/dvd-player and thence disappear where they came from.

Shoot, even the trolls have some appeal.

Edited , cannot remember what the !!!!!!!!s were for :o i think it was free l0aders

The forum part of mse just needs an editor to do some weeding and replanting - 10 minutes work on the threads/stickies on techie forum would produce a far more useful layout.

But is the sixteenth thread asking if Microsoft really call people at home valid? The danger is that, as with spam, the signal to noise ratio can reduce to a level where users no longer find the board useful or interesting and it dies.

Has anyone who reads this got the power to change anything? Own up.

Every question (not stickie) may be valid, but every question needs an answer, and the respondents will get bored of reading/scrolling through or answering the same questions one day, someone else will probably come and fill the void for a while, but in the meantime it would be more efficient for everyone concerned to have a better layout.

this page has no relevance in 2011

but I bet most people who want a new laptop click on it, and subsequent pages before posting their I want a laptop recommendation thread.

neither has this, which is 6 years old, and locked.

Booo, don't paraphrase me. I had to google the answer :o. I know I sucked at English !

I think part of the radio codes were probably caused by me when I used to post on another forum after that forum went to people charging others for codes they looked for another free source :rotfl:

I would agree that the stickies could use a cleanup and updating to be more relevant.

It does get boring when there's the same questions regarding netbooks every few days. Edit: I'm not saying people are unwelcome to post, just that after awhile it gets harder to summon the energy to answer the same questions in the same way. I'm not criticising people who have tried looking for the answers before posting.

It's all the same questions, well a fair percentage or a simple rehash anyway.
Loads of "let me goggle that for you" questions - that most halfwhits could do them selfs, and the occasional reply, that actually uses that service.
