Negotiating a 10% deposit mortgage

I’m moving home and found a house I really like but for the price I only have a 10% deposit to put down. My building society requires a minimum of 15% deposit. I know there are a few 10% deposit mortgages around but I would prefer to stick with my building society as first, I don’t need to pay an arrangement fee and second, I could save the early repayment charge (which would be about £1000 for me).
Do you think it’s worth speaking to them in person to negotiate? What is the chance of getting them to say yes?

I would definitelly make an appointment and go in and have a chat with them. If they know they'll lose your business otherwise, they might see what they can do.saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
