Ive had my current account for around 4/5 months now and I read that after the first year the interest rate drops significantly [currently 5% preferred current account with Santander] so I would be looking to ditch and switch before the rate drops.
How do you establish what date your account was officially opened would it be the date you first made your application [mine was online] ? Can you just phone the bank and ask ?
