It really is getting ridiculous now! I now never buy anything full priced in M&S or Debenhams because I know I could get it or something similar cheaper in the "sale". I don't know what they are playing at.0

I welcomed it when they started their "slash the price" attitude to their sales some years ago. Prior to that, they always seemed reluctant to reduce, starting off with maybe 10 or 20% and not usually going any deeper than 40 or 50%. But babymt is right and the frequency of the sales is getting a bit ridiculous.0

Why don't they just make their prices a bit lower to begin with?0

Thanks very much OP. I love M&S and look forward to the sale.0

Human nature.... it feels better to buy something on 'discount' rather than straight off lower priced item..... else it wouldn't make it to MSE Grabbit if there are no discount involved.0 -
Another sale, isn't their last sale still on?:rotfl:Kyle 03.04.04

So very true. The M&S brand used to be rock solid once, but not any more.
Thorntons started this sort of trickery not so long ago - look what it's done for them.0 -
