this is a copy of an e mail I got today from HMV regarding the order placed placed last week

Thanks for getting in touch regarding the your order for a Nintendo Wii
console.

As stated on the web site when we took orders on 22nd November we do not currently have stock, but were offering customers the chance to place
themselves in the queue for a console. We offered no guarantees as to when their order would be fulfilled.

We are unable to give any indication as to when the order will be
fulfilled, as Nintendo only confirm delivery details a couple of days
before stock arrives. We would advise customers to ensure that they always have sufficient funds in their account, as if their payment fails, the
console will automatically pass to the next customer in the queue.

Thanks for your understanding and patience, and please rest assured we are
doing everything in our power to try and get the console to you for
Christmas.
