What the deal with warrentys and buy off Ebay?
I bought a slimelines PS2 a few years ago and had trouble getting the power supply replaced when it was broke. I didnt have a retailer reciept, just the EBay one
When I rang Sony they said it was second hand bought off Ebay even though it was it brand new!
That experiance has put me off buying anything expensive off Ebay unless its a Shop0 -
As long as you have a receipt which 99% of them will you can just get it replaced if something was wrong, i think the warranty starts when you register the console (paperwork in the box) i think. try to look for someone local to avoid postage, and plus seller will be happier because of no paypal fees, pay on collect, its worth a look these next few days.0

ebay are auctions if people don't bid then price is low, even yesterday i was watching some go for £205 / £210 an then i seen some go for £270. It's just about looking. That was yesterday and there is allot more for sale today and tomorrow!0 -

I think it's important to remember that most sellers aren't asking silly prices at all. Most are starting their auctions at 99p or so with no reserve - it's just demand that is driving the prices up beyond rrp."Whatever happened to string?"0 -
If you bought one and it had an Argos cash receipt, you can alway return it within 30 days if faulty. i believe if it was a Gift the 30 days start from Christmas day. Also will have the Nintendo warranty when serial no registered.0

Just incase it hasn't been mentioned, I had the basic sports pack on order from viking direct for over a month now, they promised to honour all current orders before christmas, but when I rang yesterday told me they wouldn't be able to. For some reason they continue to publish it in their catalogue, but don't be fooled, they wont be getting any.0
