I am a regular reader of these boards but don't usually post, however from tips on here I managed to preorder the Nintendo Wii 2007 from Amazon on Thursday morning and I have just received notice that it has been dispatched.

Many,many thanks for the person who posted that link - I will now have very happy children come Christmas morning.

hi does anybody know what is happening with the hmv orders from thursday as i ordered one and it is showing on my account on order from suppliers does anybody think these may come before christmas?

I emailed them and they came back and said that they don't know when they'll get stock but hope they might arrive in time for Christmas. I'm going to keep my order there but keep trying to source one from elsewhere and then cancel it when (if) I get one.

Just had a phone call from Woolworths in Erdington, Birmingham to say the one I ordered has arrived for £295 (dont know what package etc). but I have already managed to get one . If anyone wants it you can pm me and I will give you my contact details to say you are me!!!!!
p.s my mum had one reserved too so you can always say you are her too!!!!!

My friend just told me about this site and they had them up until 5 mins ago. I just missed it so i rang them and they're definately having more this afternoon and you can pre-order. The package is £269.00 - free next day delivery and you get:
Wii console, wii sports, mario galaxy, metroid prime 3: corruption and rainman raving rabbings. Although its dearer than just the sports pack you could sell any games you don't want to bring the price back down

I know nothing about these things so sorry if I am coming across as dense but 3 kids desperately want one for christmas.

I have seen 1 on ebay not far from me and can be paid for on collection.
Its says its PAL and comes with a UK adaptor. Is this a normal wii or will I have problems if I have to use an adaptor?
