I do feel it is a carefully engineered marketing ploy to make the Wii the must have toy at Xmas through creating a herd mentality. Why Else would Ninty spend so much on TV advertising if they felt that they couldnt satisfy demand.

one way we can all fight back is by sticking to our guns and only paying RRP and equally creating a rumour mill around Speculators losing large amounts of Cash..... It will be a self fulfillng prophecy...watch the Prices Tumble

even the prices on Amazon Market Place are dropping. It was £299.99 last night - down to £270 now.

The shortages have been going on for a year! I would think if they could sell more they would by now as more console sales means more game sales etc etc. I predict the prices going up and up before crimbo Also there is a shortage in the US too and they will get consoles before us here in little old UK.

they have had over a year to get it Right, I think they arent doing too bad myself, I would say that they have got it spot on. Its like the bars that everyone wants to go to are the ones with the biggest ques outside it, as soon as the queues dissapear no one wants to go to them hence the fashion police and over zealous bouncers
