Got to agree with you on some points "The Mrs".
I suppose the thing that p*ss*s people off about the ebayers is the fact that by selling them off to the highest bidder, it puts them out of the reach of "the poor" who cannot afford them and only makes them available to "the rich" to whom money is no object. At least from a shop, its open to everyone at the same price so its a case of first come, first served and in theory everyone has the same chance of getting one at the same price...
That said, if people with kids are stupid enough to pay out well over the odds just so little johny doesn't cry on Christmas day then thats up to them. Ok so I don't have kids, but even when I do, I would still teach them that "the best things come to those who wait, not those who pay stupid money"0 -

In response to "The Mrs"
I think the point is that not all people are so internet savvy and so may just assume that Game or Dixons etc is the only option they have to buy from - or simply they do not have the time to spend scouring the country to find one in stock. Additionally there appears to b eplenty of evidence on this board and others of genuine internet savvy folk being unable to get what they want for their kids.
These folks would have a better chance of getting a Wii if the ebay traders didn't snap them up for profit making.
Market forces or not the fact you are posting suggests to me that something in your conscience knows that you may just be robbing 1 or 2 kids of their big pressie.
I am not against ebay traders doing this and in fact considered doing it myself - but I personally felt that the money to be gained weighed against the chance I may ruin someone's Christmas was not what worth it.
Horses for courses and good luck to all.
Now I'm off to rob a Granny!

I spoke to them & they said I had already had one delivered to that address. Neither would they let me pay & send it straight to my sisters address. I had to be trusted with her card details too before I could get another for her. I didn't mind though..at least they are being fair.
Yeah, I guess fair's fair. I've got a pre-order with Amazon for a Wii from that Customer Vote page that was around for an hour or so yesterday morning. The dispatch on that is 1st week in December, but I'm not sure if that'll come through or not as the customer vote page dissapeared pretty quickly. I'll keep an eye on the normal Amazon page uptil then to see if I can get one through there !!0 -
Personally if someone thinks there christmas is going to be ruined just because they couldnt get the spouse/child etc etc a wii then thats a sad family indeed.
p.s. still refreshing JL ;op0
