Thanks to everyone on the board for all the advice. Managed to order one earlier today on John Lewis. Stock checker flashed up and I guess I was lucky. I didn't have the guts to type in the discount code as I thought I would lose the order. I got the plain Wii with no extras. I had to take the morning off work to get this sorted but I guess it was worth it.

Initially my credit card was rejected, but I only found out after the order was taken, JL e-mailed me. I called my credit card company who said it was becuase I spent a lot in a short while which was unusual for me. They sorted it out but said JL may have to charge the card again. I logged into the JL website and had to type the card details in again. It worked, I phoned to check and they said everything was ok - I hope it is!

My boyfriend was in town (Liverpool) and he spoke to staff in HMV and Virgin who said they both had deliveries today but sold out first thing. They advised get to the store as soon as it opens rather than phoning. Hope that information helps. Virgin said it's worth phoning late on Thursday as that's when they usually arrive, ready to go out for Friday morning.

I also phoned lots of Asda stores this morning. I would advise checking what time they get their delivery as it varies between stores. Phone shortly after the delivery. For info Asda Wigan usually get a delivery around 10.30 am - 11.00 am. They didn't get any today. Ellesmere Port Asda ususally get their delivery at 5.00pm.

as per an earlier post:

If you keep the first screen with the Wii in the basket and use the 2nd screen to refresh, when the wii comes back into stock just go to the 1st screen and add to basket and then put your details in quick.

Remember to copy the discount code aswell and then paste that in this is how I did it after 3 attempts, I dont need one either I am hoping my Sister in Law wants it

Oh right

Is this way better than just keeping clicking "add to Basket" thats what I have been doing with no joy?

I am not sure like i said i managed it after 3 attempts how many times you tried

I have been hitting add to basket almost constantly for half an hour!

Sometimes the screen takes longer to load and I think I have when, then it says out of stock :rolleyes:

I am not confident I will get the one from Marshall World ....
