do you reckon JL have some sort of automated stock update mechanism or a couple of warehouse staff that randomly put stock on the system at various times of the day and then watch the frenzy that ensues, it must be the most perverse form of Shadenfreude ever known

What happened with all people who ordered with HMV earlier?

did anybody get confirmation of order/date of dispatch notice or is it upto 3 weeks.

Were they just taking orders up front of receiving stock in the hope they will get some pre xmas?

I got a order confirmation e mail but it just states that they will e mail me when it is despatched - so I am still trying as I dont want to rely on it. They have changed their website now to state that it is un available so if it was just a waiting list they wouldnt have done that...... would they

I guess not. I was just curious as i didn't order but from reading the posts the HMV website status changed from 'available' to 'despatched within 3 weeks'. I wonder if, knwoing how desperate alot of people are, they just took a load of pre-orders. Would be a bit naughty if they did as most people can only afford to put their eggs in one basket and thet is probaly now HMV.

Will be interesting to see if any HMV orders turn up. Keep us posted on progress.
