I called Game and got a Wii console straightaway, I think it is a bit of luck but in general the shops aren't telling people they have them (certainly not in my area) and if you don't ask you won't get. Good luck everyone and according to the rumor mill, there's a big shipment on its ways, let's just hope it doesn't get delayed by the storms.....

Nice one, but which game are you talking about? Sorry, but people are very helpful telling others that shops are stocking them, but don't actually state where the shop is.

My Virgin order still says backordered, which I suppose is better than having it cancelled! Will be calling them again this afternoon so will post and update

Hi all
First I must say thank you all for this thread - I have been watching for ages but never plucked up the courage to register but today I had to to tell you that the Wii Play is in stock over at sendit.com - dispatch within 24hrs (I rang up and checked too!!).
The thanks are because due mainly to this forum, I managed to pick up a Wii from John Lewis online last week (even used a £15 off code!) and we all love it - Mum, Dad, 15 yr old DD and her BF, 9 yr old DD and 6 yr old DS.
So, hope that helps somebody in return!

PowerPlayDirect had Wii's instock at about 3:30 today. All went within ~10 minutes though so i missed out again.
