  • Have been trying to get hold of a Wii for a while now. Luckily managed to order one from Gamestation this morning before they sold out. Now just have to wait for it to be delivered:j :j :j

I found mine using the following website (thanks to a previous post by a fellow MSE):T

Unfortunately as I did not realise at the time that I would later get a wii I did not pay much attention and can't remember what the character looked like. gjchester says that it is Red Steel and along with the game you have suggested I have at least got 2 games that I can take a look at now. Is there anyone else who can recall more than me and confirm what either gjchester or griff are saying?

this might sound strange, but please take my word for it. Red steel is one of the poorer Wii launch games (and the selection isnt that great to begin with) whilst Zelda is probably THE most revered, respected and adored gaming series of all time. and Twilight Princess is a great addition to the series with many hailing it the best ever. If you are new to the series, it may very well be the best game of them all.

Zelda is a single player adventure game and it may take 50+ hours to complete and up to 70+ if you want to find everything. Its not for everyone of course. But its the best game on the Wii, certainly over Red steel which is mediocre at best.

If you are after shoot em up and good graphics, i'd be willing to say you're looking at the wrong console.

I have both the 360 and wii and i bought them both for seperate things.

The wii is a fantastic party game and multiplayer gaming in my opinion cannot get much better (when you are in the same room)..

however if you want first person shooters, online multiplayer and graphics to make ur HDTV purchase seem worth while, go for the 360..

(i have been told call of duty 3 is good on the wii, the control scheme is apparently pretty good - i havn't played it so cant comment on that though, but Red Steel is awful imo)

If you ring them and get a returns number you can return the games without returning the console. The number to ring them on is 01256 784000. I did this last week, and my kid's love their console.
