Cheap play bark?

Hi there, I wonder if anyone knows of a cheap source of play bark chippings, I need it to reline my dogs pen, and would be looking for several thousand kg's. The last lot I bought 2 years ago, from home base when there was a glitch and it was coming in at about £3/ 120kg bag, I dream of similar hehehee

"think" B+Q is £4.50 a bag from when I went the other day and it was outside the door...

I paid £4.33 per 90 litre bag at Wickes last week. This was cheaper than any of the bulk options I could find via Google.

I suspect the 120kg bags were 120 litres; either that or the Olympic weightlifting team would like a call ;-)

Woops it's actually normal bark chippings I'm after, so if anyone knows where to get a few 1000kg's of them reasonabley priced, I'd be eternally gratefull, so would my dogs

Makro had 100 Litre bags of bark chippings on offer at £6 + VAT , buy one get one free last time I went in a couple of weeks ago.

Try a local tree surgeon. My old man uses one and gets a large bagful for £2 if he returns the plastic bags. He ordered about 50 bags. They look like they are the same size as the diy shops. It's also much better stuff than the childrens play bark that I spent a fortune on at homebase.

If it's a big job I know these guys http://www.tru-grow.co.uk/tru_grow.aspx are available in big loads so should be cheaper than buying loads of little bags

PS Just remembered this conversation. I noticed they are selling their bark online now which I don't think they were proviously
