Delivery vent!

What the heck point is there in offering a next day service if you don't process the orders in time to send them out?!
I should have been out this house on Friday but will now have to be here an extra day all because an online company didn't process an order I made at 9.30am (cut off point for next day delivery is 3pm) by the right time.
I even bit the bullet and paid just under £13 for next day delivery which is ridiculously expensive for what the item was.
After I called to find out when the item was due, the company have admitted it was not dispatched and have apologised and refunded the difference between normal delivery and next day delivery. But if I'd known I wasn't getting it next day, I'd have bought something else at a quid to qualify for free delivery so I wouldn't have paid anything!
Annoyed.
(But realistic enough to realise these things happen...just wanted to spout off and get it out my system.

I'd feel bad tbh. If this was a regular occurrence then fair enough but I've only had this one experience with them so it seems unfair to mark their cards for a single unfortunate mistake.
Even although it's really had a knock on effect for me and has caused all sorts of problems now because of the hold up.
I always feel better after a good rant though.
