Gas Oven Won't Light?

My Parkinson Cowan 60GLXa gas cooker has just developed a fault in the main oven. The igniter clicks continuously, but it won't light the burner (and I can't hear the sound of gas being released either). The igniter is OK, I can clearly see it sparking.
The fault occurred while the oven was in use (the igniter started clicking continuously). It wouldn't relight, so I let it cool down, cleaned any obvious dirt/debris from the burner/igniter area, and tried again. But it won't light at all.
Both the top oven and the hob are fine, so it's not a general gas supply problem-it's specific to the main oven.
Could it be the flame supervision device? I've ruled out the thermostat, because this would not prevent it from lighting at all? Or something else?

The fsd wouldn't stop it lighting either, there is any number of things it could be, could be a blocked burner or injector, faulty solenoid, broken connection etc etc, looks like you may need a gas safe engineer out, have you tried lighting it with a match ?0

Yes, I tried lighting it manually, there is no gas flow at the burner. What does that narrow it down to please?
I should have mentioned that it did this about a month ago, but on turning it off and on once it relit immediately and has been fine ever since, so I thought no more of it. I guess now that was an early warning of something failing. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Could be a solenoid sticking, but there's no way of knowing without seeing it.0
