I presume it will look similar to the RBS banking site that changed too, its a bit tidier and the payments menu is a bit less busy so thumbs up from me.
I'll give it 2 weeks and I'll have forgotten what the old site was like!0 -
I guess the functions are alot more clearer to exaplain what they actually do now ;-)Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

Not too keen myself but I expect i'll get used to it.
It took me ages this morning to work out how to find my list of Direct Debits. Doh.

Those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter!0 -
Two withdrawn features that are important:
1. The previous system told you whether a payment would go by Faster Payments before you checked on confirm, so you could cancel if it didn't go that way. The new one only tells you after you've clicked on confirm, when it's too late to do anything about it.
2. The list of payees only tells you the payee name and extra advice to payee. This makes it quite hard to tell the difference when you are the payee for most of the external accounts: there's no difference between the payees. As a hack you can modify the advice to payee field sometimes, but this is only possible where it's not a building society roll number or other account information that can't be modified.
NatWest's online banking helpdesk is taking complaints and feature requests so be sure that you let them know about things that are worse or not possible with the new system that make life difficult.
Personally, the payment system just dropped from better than First Direct to worse than First Direct for my usage. A shame to have an improvement that makes things worse.0 -
I think I prefer the old layout, although I like the remember me feature, as it comes up with your name and not your customer number when you log in. I guess its just a case of getting used to itDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0

I agree, it's just taken me 4 attempts to find the right details to use in making a transfer from my RBS account. It's a shame they don't allow you to name transfers in the same way you can name accounts.0 -

Lets hope its something simple to reverse and that NatWest have another look at that feature!0 -
The way they've redesigned everything might allow them now to extend payment services to the iPhone apps - fingers crossed!Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion

I like the way it looks but there is a real problem with identifying external payees which have the same payee name. There's not enough information to distinguish between them on the payees list.
I'll be pointing this out to them, it needs to be changed.0
