Quote for moving boiler - is this reasonable?

I'm building an extension and am moving my boiler from my existing kitchen into new kitchen. I've been quoted £1100 to do this.

Is this a fair quote?

Also the boiler - a Vokera Mynute 14se - is 10 years old.

Is it worth moving it or would I be better getting a new boiler installed? I'm just not sure if my existing boiler will support the extension - new kitchen, 2 extra radiators and showerroom.

It is not legal to move a standard efficiency boiler as this is classed as a new installation.

A bit of absurd bureaucracy for you to consider.

As to your question, seems high to me but you have not given any details such as distance, pipe-work difficulty, cleaning the system, component upgrades, adherence to part "L" building regs, new flue etc

Have you had a quote for a new boiler might be worth considering as yours is ten years old and your not sure if its going to cope,also I assume you are going to get more than one quote

Theve got no choice see post 2, its gotta be a Condensing boiler (unfortunately)

it would not be that much more to have a new boiler fitted, this would be best in my opinion.
