As I have already said OP, what does that tell you about the general build quality of the property?

Would the surveyor not have found more problems then?
  • Olias. You've missed out the last decade. Surely it wasn't that bad.

Well I guess I was getting mixed up with the amount of glasses of wine I have had!.........:o:o:o:D:D:D.

How daft do I feel! I could go back and edit my posts and make you all look daft, but I think I'll just take the shame......:p

Of course, but you've got to be cheeky and try i reckon! Worst they can say is no.
Well you're right of course, but then why did you post the question??
You asked for advice, were reassured that these were minor faults, but still want to get quotes and be cheeky. Fair enough but why not just do that from the off?

As said above, I'd be more concerned about what this says about a general quality of a....errrr.... 15 year old property. NHBC warranty expired too.

Before I posted I didn't really have an idea as to what to do, had no pre-meditated direction. Tbh, not sure i'm brazen enough to go about asking for a dicount based on the work that needs doing!

These were the only issues with the property nd overall the survey found it to be in good nick. Had a clued up DIY mate have a look round who thinks its in pretty good shape as well.

As others have said could be worse!
