Praise for Tesco Direct

I bought a new washing machine after my old one broke. Found a good replacement for sale on many websites. Tesco was cheapest. I paid £7.66 for them to disconnect my old machine (I'm a single mum and haven't a clue how to do this myself), £19.99 to connect the new one and £7.50 for them to take my old machine away. They came from Glasgow, on time, to my fifth floor flat (no lift) without complaint. They were quick, tidy, polite and even fixed a problem with my connections which had been bodged by Scottish Power when they installed my old machine. Can't praise them enough.

It might be good if you were able to write a letter or email to Tesco Direct saying how pleased your were with the delivery people as l'm sure they may feel that 'Nobody notices what we we do until we do something wrong' at times.

Nice to see some praise, threads are often full of bad press for these companies.
    Good for you.

I would write to them too.

(does your council not take away old appliances) if you are on benefits they take them away for free round here.
Next time, come of here and look for some free delivery codes too.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

glad you had a good experience, although I think the charges are a bit much in total. would echo that you should contact tesco to let them know you are happy with them, sometimes companies even send out vouchers for good praise so you could end up doubly happy!
