It used to work in Sainsbury's many moons ago and Morrisons.
On some multi-deal reduced items, they used to actually pay you to take the goods away - bring back the good-old-days. lol
Might try out the Co-op though if I see any - thanks.

The BOGOF still works on reduced items in Sainsburys. Last week, my friend bought some chicken tikka samosas which were the in the reduced (no other dates available) as part of their 4 mains and 2 sides for a tenner and the discount still came off.0

Tesco recently had mushrooms at £1.65 or two packs for £2.
When I went in to the Wimbledon store the other day, all the remaining stock had reduced stickers at £1.39. I took two packs to pay and queried what the price would be- I was told the offer price wouldn't apply so I would be charged £2.78!... so a product about to go beyond its sell-by date would cost more than the regular price!
I asked them if they could remove the reduced stickers and charge me the full price, but they said no. Needless to say I didn't buy them, or the other couple of items in my basket. Crazy Tesco...0

How bloody stupid of Mr T reducing them by 26p! Sainsburys reduce things by a third or taking the £1.65 mushrooms for example, reduce them to about 95p so you do save more by buying the reduced stuff.
Also when a product is disposed, its disposed at the full price, not the last reduction price. So a supermarket would rather receive 20p than getting £2 added to the wastage budget.0

Asda specifically state on the reduced price sticker that reduced items are exempt from link-save offers.0

i know it applies at Waitrose. I was in there and it was buy 2 for x amount and some were reduced. I spoke to a person who worked there and questioned would i be better off just buying them for full price because otherwise they would of cost me more. i was told that the discount would be taken of, which it was.
the other day i bought 2 packs of meatballs and ended up getting them for free once the discount had been taken off.
not bad at all.Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0

didnt last as long as I wanted though cos hubby made him self sausage sandwiches using a pack at a time! :mad:0
