Need help finding good deal for hotel in Paris in Sept please???

Hi All
My girlfriend and I are off to Paris for her 30th birthday in September, we have booked some cheap flights but need some help booking a nice central(ish) hotel please.
I am currently out of work so getting the best for our money is imperative, my girlfriend is forever staying in mundane Hotels for her work so I want something with a chic, boutique feel, a bit different, maybe with a nice spa bath in room. If anyone can recommend a nice hotel then please let me know, I would rather something from the top hundred Hotels in Paris on Trip Advisor's reviews.
We go on the 21st Sept and come back on 24th so we need 3 nights. I am aware Paris is mega expensive so I really need some helps getting somewhere lovely for as cheap as poss, lets say Max £160 per night with a brekky included, but I would go over budget for somewhere posh and nice. Another option is that we do have around £180 saved up with Hotels.com and their welcome rewards scheme if we were to book through them, but their prices seem to be drastically higher than other websites so I am not sure whether this would be the cheapest option? Does anyone know whether they do price matching and whether we could use the Welcome Rewards cash AS WELL AS doing a price match?
Anyway if anyone can give me any help at all to help ensure my gorgeous girl gets the best birthday ever I would really really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance everyone...

Last time I thought about going to Paris I gave up on the idea as I couldn't find anything I liked that was reasonably priced (I was looking for 5* type hotels mind). However, I do remember finding a small quirky place that had an old Citroen 2cv in the bedroom and it had been made into a bed! I have no idea what it was called or how I found it but I was probably just searching boutique hotels on google. I don't think it was expensive.0

It was! I thought it looked really cool but hubby wasn't keen (said he was too tall to sleep in a 2cv!)0 -

Hi There
Thanks for the reply, that hotel looks... interesting haha, I think it would probably make me feel a bit ill trying to sleep in there after a few bottles of bubbly. Very quirky and a nice idea so thanks for sharing your ideas but I am looking for more boutique chic than quirky please... Anymore help would be really appreciated.0 -
My missus and I went in July, and like you were after somewhere central but not part of a chain. We ended up staying in the Hotel de la Paix Montparnasse, which was spot on. Quirky, clean, super-helpful staff, about 2 minutes from a Metro station, and within walking distance of some excellent, non-touristy restaurants. Would recommend it in a flash, but go for the superior rooms - like all hotels in Paris the rooms are on the small size, but upgrading makes all the difference. We paid about €130 per night.0

Hi All, thanks for the replies and ideas, We are so busy with an unexpected house move at the moment we haven't had time to do anything about this trip since I first posted. We do still need to book somewhere in the next week or 2 so if anyone sees any good deals, knows any more nice hotels we can check out, or can offer some HOTELS.COM advice as I asked in original message then please get back to us. PLease remember this is for my ladies 30th b'day so we need somewhere gorgeous, for as cheap as poss!! haha almost impossible I know but surely there is a good deal out there with our name on it...???
Any help will be very much appreciated.0 -

What's gone will never come back. But it exists when you think of it ...0
