ATOs medical results

Hi

Im waiting to hear the results of my medical, which I had 2 weeks on Friday. I know I could ring up for the report, but to be honest I just feel so low with everything havnt done it yet.

My money is due in on Friday - I gather from the forum that this can be an indication of what the result of the medical is.

My question is, when I check my bank account details, will the current amount of ESA I am receiving be there, or would there be nothing, in which case I would be appealing, and on the assessment rate.

Does the stoppage of money only happen once written confirmation of the result has been sent out?

thanks

Yeah sadly they sometimes don't send a letter out confirming the result of your WCA (a problem arising from the battle between the computer system and its users I believe).

Some people as a result find out the outcome when they see a change in bank account payments and get confirmation of outcome of WCA when they phone to enquire where their money is. So sadly the answer to your last question is... unfortunately not necessarily.

If you've been getting assessment rate ESA and you fail the WCA then your money will likely cease. If you get WRAG then your money should go up by a bit... and a bit more for support group... although it might be hard to tell which of these two groups if the payment you get doesn't relate to a full 2 week period. If you continue to get assessment rate then decision probably not made yet.

Pot luck whether you get a letter first, or just find out when the bills cant be paid.
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that
