Can anyone tell me what Turgutreis is like please?
I'm after somewhere with a nice, quiet beach for lazing and reading in the day and I like a bit of nightlife in the evenings but nothing too lairy - no Club 18-30's staggering about! Just a nice selection of bars, bit of music.
In the past I've always gone to Sunny Beach in Bulgaria and I love it there. We always go in September so its usually quieter than July/August.
The last time we tried somewhere else we went to Cavtat in Croatia which, although a beautiful little resort, was like a ghost town. We ended up knackering ourselves out going on excursions and up and down to Dubrovnik everyday just for something to do!
I've found a good deal for Turgutreis, mid September, so I'm hoping its a got a bit of life there!
Thanks in advance!

Hope the deal wasn't with Holidays4U, or an online agent who packaged up using Holidays4U flights.
Just watch the cost of flights to Turkey shoot up in price now.

Thanks for that balletshoes! Sounds nice and relaxing by day and a few cocktails watching the sunset by night!0 -

Fattybumbles,
when this happened last year with Goldtrail, yes they did. The year before, when Kosmar / Excel went bust, same happened.
It's a case of you have got potentially 50 000 people originally booked with Holidays4U who are now without a holiday (or just flights), and are desperate to re-book.
With demand comes supply, and with little left out there, everything will now be at a premium.

well HXDave, you are indeed a wise one! Just gone on to book, had to check OH's holidays first, and my bargainous holiday has now more than doubled! "due to high demand"
Booo!
Not a chance am I paying the new prices so let the mad search for something cheap but nice begin!0 -
Fattybumbles,
Unfortunately, it's always the case. Trouble is, many people believe us agents make it up, and that it's just a scare tactic to get people booking. Unfortunately, as you have found out and probably many hundreds (if not thousands) of others, it does happen.
