GE Capital/New Look and Black Horse Finance

Hi

I had a New Look store card from Sept 02 until I cleared it sometime in 2006. I am not 100% if there was PPI on this card but from reading other people's posts, it is likely that there was and I didnt even realise.

Unfortunately, I have no paperwork remaining re the account. I have tried to contact my own bank to see if they could give me an account ref but with no luck.

What should I be doing next? Do I contact GE Capital? Do I contact Santander?

It may turn out that there is nothing on the account but I want to make sure. Dont what someone else having money that is rightfully mine.

On another note, my mother is in the same position with a loan she took out with Black Horse Finance. She cannot find any paperwork or agreements either. Should she contact Black Horse? Would they provide her with those details?

Any advice you guys can give me would be very much appreciated.

Hi and welcome

You could try contacting the company who may try to track down the details, but if you have a feeling you were paying for this then get a reclaim in anyway if you think you have reasons for being mis sold.

And yes, contact BH in regards of you're mum's case as well, they may still hold the details depending on how old, normally if you bank online, where the loan monthly repayments came out of this should allow you to go back to about 2002, and the loan account number is generally shown next to the loan monthly repayment, or as stated contact BH and give as many details as possible, good luck on both.;)

I have just spoken to someone at Black Horse as I didn't have any of the details of my previous loans and she went thorugh all my details and confirmed all the details necessary to put in a claim.

Just to update, black horse came back with all the details for my mum and there wasn't any PPI on that loan. She thinks it was a previous loan going back years. I have told her that it is a no go as she can only go back so far.

I have not done well on the GE Capital/New Look Claim. Wrote to GE Capital requesting the terms of my agreement and enclosed the £1 chq. Received it back saying they had no one of that name or address on their records.

I believe that Santander are now responsible for the New Look store cards but don't know what way that stands but I am going to contact them anyway and see how I get on.
