Would I lose pension credit??

I hit retirement age last year after working almost all of my life. I missed full pension because the entitlement changed from one working length to another, anyway I missed out by three years. This means I now have to get pension credit top up. Can anyone tell me if I would lose this if I had a little stall selling sweets on the Sunday Farmers Market as a small business. The hours are approx five and if I could find somewhere for Saturday five hours there. Idon't want to work for someone else as I am secondary carer to my mum who is 92 with Altzheimers.

You would have to register as self employed and take out public liability insurance. you probably also need a licence from the council for selling food. It depends on how much you earn.

your earning would count but it would depend on various factors. as you are not working for an employer you will have to submitt proof of all your income and expenditure and then the specialist decision maker will decide what will be taken into account, only the first £5 is disregarded, but you are a carer then the disregard is £20
