stacking tumble dryer?

Options
Further to my question on moving the boiler, we had a kitchen designer out on saturday and they came up with this idea.

We currently have, along a wall that is 2620mm long-180mm gap (which is open cupboard type hole at the moment!) then a 600mm tall cupboard that is 600mm deep-boiler lives in here, then 1800mm worktop, underneath which is freezer, dishwasher and tumble dryer. Above there are wall units-2 plain doors, 2 glass (in the middle)
I would like to somehow get the white appliance out from the last bit and get a corner cupboard in the end, but cannot put under the boiler as the filter is in the way.

Kitchen designer suggested putting washing machine beside the boiler cupboard, then stacking tumbler over it, on a shelf, inside a cupboard (so you can't see the fronts) which seems like a really good idea to me :D (well, he actually suggested doing that at the end-because of symmetry but I REALLY want an extra corner unit)

We are going in on saturday to look at the design pics so can get an idea of what it looks like then, but just wondering if anyone has any experience of doing similar things in their kitchen? And any pics if they did?

Am desperately trying to get some extra cupboard and worktop space, even considering putting a tall larder unit basically in a gap between the bathroom door and the knocked through wall to dining room-(its 570mm wide, so could get one in) but will have to see what that looks like on the design!

Also-is it easy enough to block up one TD vent hole and make another one?

Yes it can be done but check with appliance to see if its suitable for stacking. Some are designed to be stacked one on top of the other directly, others with stacking kits. If you are going to build them into units, ensure that there is adequate ventilation. Remember that you will need a special housing for this which HAS to be wider than 600mm in which case a door for a 600unit wont be suitable. How does the designer propose to work around this?

I've stacked a tumble drier over a washing machine before now with no problems, no stacking kit, but it was in a corner - main thing is that the washer doesn't 'walk' (some do). My main concern would be adequate ventilation.

Thanks, the plan would actually be to put TD on a shelf, so not technically stacked directly on top of WM. Its a vented dryer-so would have to have a new hole out the wall for it .
Not sure what the plan is re doors-it was the kitchen designer who suggested it, so hoping they have a plan lol!
