I thought they were doing away with this?
Just got an email from egg offering me 0% until July on B/Ts transferred in Jan
Now I'm confused (and very pleased)I've had the card 3 years now. and I was going to ring and cancel it. Glad I didn't:T

Beware!
I haven't seen the e mail myself. Egg still have the anniversary offer, the change is that they charge a balance transfer fee nowadays.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
I have no use for egg cc any longer(have closed it). Since they introduced the transfer fee it has no advantages. I now rely on Egg Money.

Not quite all, and of those that do, the percentage charge and any caps on it differs.FriendofDorothy wrote:Well I have a good credit limit with egg and I thought everyone charged for balance transfers
Egg IIRC, charge 2.5% with no upper limit. Since the BT is only over 5 months, you'd need a savings account paying (or shifting a debt costing more than) 7.5% no matter what your limit (2.5% / 5 months * 12 months / 80% basic tax rate) before you're 'in credit' by stoozing/tarting.
In addition, with Egg, the BT fee attracts interest at your card's rate. The BT may be a 0%, but the fee certainly won't be (though they may pay off the fee before the BT - this bit I'm not sure about.)Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -

I'm about to BT to http://http://www.smart.com/-snm-0156420588-1163148103-0000027318-0000002527-1164109359-enm-is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/mpc-uk-content-Site/en_UK/-/GBP/SVCPresentationPipeline-Start?Page=issite://mpc-uk-Site/mpc-uk.com/RootFolder/smart/Finance/smartMastercard/Mastercard_Summary.page, which is who Martin recommended as a BT fee free deal for 6 months.
If the link doesn't work the site is https://www.smart.com, finance and insurance, then Smart credit card. It's a telephone application and takes about 10 mins.0 -
