I've just come back from Snowdonia and didn't manage to find any discount vouchers for the Mountain Railway other than the one you mention.0

Its very expensive isnt it, havnt found any discount vouchers--not sure they need to offer them the train often seems full when Ive looked..... we often stop to look at the train but I cant justify spending that amount of money (3 adults/2kids on holiday and wales this week)..... will wait until the children are old enough to walk up and down :-)0

We went to Wales two months ago and climbed Snowdon, I honestly didn't expect it to be so hard!! Asked how much the train was to get down as energy was totally zapped, £40 for the two of us to get down! I practically rolled down as that price is just ridiculous! Oh and I did fall on the way down and cut my kneeMember of Quidco and Dooyoo

We did it some years ago with Tesco Deals vouchers - but I'm not sure they still take them.
We got a bargain too - paid with the vouchers, the train got 3/4 way up and broke down - so they gave everyone a cash refund when we got back to the bottom! So free train ride0 -
yeah they dont take tesco vouchers anymore0

I did this on Saturday.
Most disappointing is you only get 30 mins at summit..not enoguh time as it was packed up there!0 -

I don't think you can always depend on being able to just get a trip down at any price - when I was there a couple of years ago, if you went up on the train, you had to travel down on the next one so that they didn't end up with too many people trying to get down later on the day. If the train up is full (as it often is) there will be no space for additional passengers just to travel down.0
